BIKE ED COURSE

Where: * 1806 Riverton Dr, Prattville AL  (Classroom session in the morning at the residence of Mike Munk)
# First Baptist Church, Washington Street, Prattville AL (Afternoon Bike sessions)
When: * March 21, 7:30-4:40 with a break for lunch
Instructor: Mike Munk, League Certified Instructor, UBI certified bicycle mechanic, and Cross Country Ride Leader
Cost/Equipment Needed:

$10 for MBC club members, $20 for non-members (includes course materials and a one year membership for non-members.)

Bicycle and Bicycle/helmet

The Bike Ed Course is provided by the League of American Bicyclists and sponsored by the Montgomery Bicycle Club.  The course is designed for novice to intermediate adult cyclists who want to improve their bike handling skills and become more proficient riding in traffic. However, all skill levels can benefit from the skill drills and class discussions on safety, basic mechanical techniques, traffic situations, emergency procedures, tire changing techniques, and hazard avoidance. The class includes approximately 8 hours of classroom discussion/demonstration/written test and on-the-bike skill drills. The course is fun, challenging, and full of "need to know" information to ride confidently in all traffic situations.
