MBC Coffeeneuring Challenge
This challenge is for everyone! RIDE on six days to get your favorite coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cider. Drinks don't have to be hot! Rides must be at least 2 miles and documented. The National Bike Challenge is a nationwide event uniting thousands of current bicyclists & encouraging countless new riders. It is a FREE & EASY way to challenge yourself, your colleagues, & your community to ride more while competing on a local, state, and national level. National Bike & Roll to School Day - May 3
The first-ever national Bike & Roll to School Day took place on May 9, 2012, in coordination with the League of American Bicyclists’ National Bike Month. Today, thousands of schools across America—from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico—participate every May to encourage children to safely walk, bike or roll to school. Join the movement!
Bike to Work Week - May 15 - 21
Join the River Region in this national campaign to help educate and inform on the health and community benefits of biking. Hundreds of American communities have been successful in increasing bicycle commuting during this week.

Ride of Silence - May 17 - 6:45 pm
MBC Bike Corral Riverfront
Participate in the National Ride of Silence to honor those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways in your community. The Montgomery Ride of Silence will be a slow paced, silent, no-drop ride. The 6.7 mile route starts and finishes at the downtown MBC bike corral (corner of Commerce & Water St.). Bike Downtown Wetumpka - May 18 - 6:00 - 7:30 pm
City of Wetumpka Farmers Market
May is National Bike Month & we want to show you how easy it is to get from the Sports Complex to Downtown! Kick off the 2023 riding season with this casual, family-friendly bike ride! Meet us at the City of Wetumpka Farmers Market at 6:00 pm for a 2-mile ride downtown/1-mile back. Once downtown, grab a bite to eat, a drink, or do some shopping. At 7:15 pm, we will meet back at the Small Box Shop to head back to the Farmers Market. Please come wearing protective equipment including a helmet and have your bike in proper working condition. This is a family-friendly bike ride and we request all riders be confident in their skills to be able to complete a 3-mile (roundtrip) bike route which will cross through various road conditions and intersections. Rain at the start cancels the ride; wet pavement does not. **Event date, time, & description subject to change**
Bike to Work Day Energizer Station - May 19 - 6:30 am - Noon
MBC Bike Corral Riverfront
Join us at the downtown MBC bike corral (corner of Commerce & Water Street) from 6:30 AM to 12:00 Noon to celebrate Bike Month #BikeThere. In partnership with AARP, the Energizer Station will be offering free coffee, snacks and goodies for your morning commute or ride through downtown plus FREE t-shirts (while supplies last).
Dalraida Community Bike Club Year-End Celebration - May 20 - 9-10:30 am
Come Ride with us and meet the Dalraida Bike Club and their coaches as they celebrate their 22 - 23 school year accomplishments!
We will ride from the Eastdale Mall former Dillard's parking lot (North Side) from 9-10:30 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023. B & C Teams will ride a closed 1/2 mile loop in the former Dillard's parking lot while A team will ride 20 miles with a rest stop half way at 10 miles.

Prattville's Annual Bike Ride with the Mayor - May 20 - 9:45 am
Upper Kingston Park Prattville
The Annual Mayor's Bike Ride and Annual Touch A Truck events are FREE and open to the public. These events are held in conjunction with National Kids to Park Day and encourages outdoor activities and promotes our local parks and facilities. The Mayor’s Bike Ride will begin at 9:45am at Upper Kingston Park ending at Pratt Park. There will be a police escort to ensure the safety of our riders and everyone must wear a helmet.
