Thursday, February 20, 2025

1:30 pm – MTCC-Los Angeles Equipment Check Ride near Montgomery – 23.4 miles Open to all

Friday, February 21, 2025

10 am – Downtown Montgomery Civil Rights Tour by Bicycle – 8.5 miles Social, Conversation pace

4 pm – 8 pm – Tourist & Rider Packet Pickup, Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa (Montgomery Room 9)

5 pm – 9:00 pm – Tourist & Rider Reception, Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa (Starlight Foyer, adjacent to Packet Pickup Room (Montgomery 9)

Saturday, February 22, 2025

5 am – 6:30 am – Late arrival Tourist & Rider Packet Pickup, Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa (Montgomery Room 9)

6 am – 6:45 am – Bus Loading for all Tourists, Riders, and Bus Captains (Tallapoosa St)

​Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa (Tallapoosa Street)

7 am – Buses leave from Montgomery for Selma

8 am – Buses arrive in Selma (Water St)

Ride starts between 9am-9:30am. 550 confirmed cyclist.

Last group of cyclist leave Selma between 9:30-9:40am.

Tour bus leaves Selma staging area at 9:45 am for the following sites:

1) First Baptist Church - 709 MLK, Jr. St. 10 - 10:30 am.

2) Brown Chapel Church - 410 MLK, Jr. St 10:35 - 11:15 am

3) Tour Voting Rights Park??

4) Campsite #1. 8 miles from Bridge (10min ride) Photo Op (15mins)

5) Lowndesboro Interpretative Center -  12N - 1:30pm. 25min film, tour center and chat with cyclist.

6) SNCC White Hall tour- 30-40mins. 1:40 pm - 2:15 pm.

7) Viola Liuzzo Memorial - Photo op. 10-15mins. 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm

8) Bolling Site Marker - Slow down, but non stop due to location.

9) Lowndesboro School - Conversation with Josphine McCall. 3 - 3:30 pm.

10) Campsite #4 - St Jude School. Possible photo op at sign.

11) Continue on Selma to Montgomery Trail to downtown State Capitol. Arrive between 4:30 - 5 pm.

Bus will park at Legacy museum. Photo op at Capitol and Dexter Ave Baptist church. Bus will leave for Renaissance hotel between 5 - 5:15 pm.
