2025 MBC Bike Month Community Spotlight
Dalraida Bike Club at Dalraida Elementary School

Our 2025 Community Spotlight recognition goes to Coach Victor Crowell and the Dalraida Community Bicycle Club. Coach Crowell started a bike club at his school, Dalraida Elementary School, where he teaches Physical Education. DCBC currently serves 140 students grades K - 8. Their mission is simple: To promote bicycle safety, fitness, health, wellness, and social skills. You can help them continue their work through a donation.

The Montgomery Bicycle Club recognizes the Dalraida Community Bicycle Club for their outstanding work and accomplishments. Your donation will allow the club to continue paying for licensing of their monitoring equipment, post-ride snacks, and Challenge Awards. Please help us encourage safe cycling in the River Region for our Community Spotlight Club by supporting this program for years to come through your donation.

Feel free to drop off your donation at any bike month event or use the donation links below!

Panthers Team A
This group is their most advanced group. They tend to be in the 3rd-5th grade and have a lot of control and endurance when riding bikes. Team A is able to perform off campus rides with an adult leader.  They practice using hand signals and ride three feet from the curb. They observe and following all traffic signs and laws. They know some bike components, minor maintenance and how to make bike adjustments. Once they master this level, they can become a Team A leader.

Jaguars Team B
This group is for their average riders. They tend to be in grades 2nd -5th grade.  Team B is able to perform short, group rides around campus and off-campus with maximum adult supervision. Focus for this group is to gain confidence and bike awareness. This group also learns road and bike safety. Once they master this level, they may advance to Team A.

Cheetah’s Team C
This group is for beginners just learning to ride a bike or for riders with very little experience. The focus for this group will be to learn to ride, independently. Second focus is on bike balance and safety. This group rides in open, enclosed, controlled with much adult supervision. Once they master this level, they may advance to Team B.
